Research
In addition to innovative companies, the Technology Park is home to the Fiber Laboratory of South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (Xamk) and the Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke). The Fiber Laboratory offers research and development activities, as well as piloting and analysis services for companies.
LUKE, as a research and expert organization, works to promote the sustainable use of natural resources and the development of the bioeconomy. Both organizations collaborate closely with the companies operating in the Technology Park. työtä luonnonvarojen kestävän käytön ja biotalouden edistämiseksi. XAMK studying possibilities in Savonlinna:
- Bachelor in Engineering - Bioproduct Engineering After graduation, bio-based product engineering graduates find employment not only in the forest industry but also in companies that support it, such as equipment manufacturers. This program is available in english.
- Industrial wood construction engineering program engineers are employed in diverse expert and management positions in industrial wood construction, in industrial manufacturing, design and construction. This program is currently only available in finnish.
